CAC Names Burris Runner of the Week

YORK, Pa. - Wesley College junior Tristin Burris (Camden, Del./Polytech) was selected as the CAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after finishing third against NCAA Division I and II competition in the Delaware State Invitational.

Running between starting assignments for the Wesley field hockey team, which played Friday and Saturday nights, Burris covered the 5,000-meter course in 20:05.27, just 10 seconds behind the winning pace set by Coppin State's Irene Cherbuet. Burris just missed becoming the fourth runner in team history to break the 20-minute plateau for 5K.

The Wolverines are back in action at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invitational on September 17.
