Wolverines Run at UMES

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The Wesley College women's cross country team continued its season at the The Hampton Inn Salisbury North/UMES Cappy Anderson Invitational.

Running in a 10 team field against eight Division I programs including Pittsburgh of the Big East Conference, Tristin Burris (Camden, Del./Polytech) was the third Division III runner to finish, claiming 40th place in 21:13.43.

Twila McCrea (Laurel, Del./Laurel) was the Wolverines' second finisher, claiming 65th place in 23:43.46.  Shakeiya Marshall (Chester Twp., Pa./New Beginnings Academy) crossed the finish line in 29:50.57 in 73rd place.  Laura Cvelich's (North Plainfield, N.J./Koinonia Academy) 31:39.85 took 75th place.

Division I Towson nearly swept the team scoring with just 17 points.  The Tigers had the top four finishers, including the individual champion in Katie Ogden, who ran an 18:00.59.
