Cross Country competes at CAC Championships

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Wesley College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championships, hosted by Christopher Newport. 

The men's team finished in eighth place while the women's team placed ninth.

In the men's 8k, Wesley was led by William Brighton Dawson, who placed 58th overall with a time of 28:36.3. Ja'mier Bailey finished 82nd with a time of 29:38.0 and Anthony Anastasi tallied an 84th place finish with a time of 30:01.9

Jordan Dillard (31:41.1, 107th), Dominic McAnulty (33:08.9, 113th), Luis Arteaga (34:10.7, 120th) and Alex Haber (34:24.1, 121st) ran for the men's team the CAC Championships.

Elizsha Streeter led the Wesley women in the 6k with a 60th place effort. Streeter crossed the line in 27:48.5. Quadira Minus turned in a 71st place time, finishing in 28:49.9. Mercedes Myrick finished 80th with a time of 30:18.4.

Maysha Foster (30:26.9, 82nd), Ty Reid (31:32.8, 88th), Kyra Wesby (34:53.4, 95th) and Lekeshia Brown-Myrick (35:09.5, 96th) competed for the Wesley women.
