Baseball climbs out of early hole to rout Pine Manor, 30-9

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College baseball team erased an eight run first-inning deficit to the tune of 30 unanswered runs in a 30-9 rout of the Pine Manor Gators on Monday.

All nine Wesley starters drove in a run, reached base and scored in the victory. Wesley batted around in the first, fourth and sixth innings. Jordan Marucci and William Foster each recorded four hits. Foster registered five RBIs and had two doubles while Marucci scored five times and drove in three runs.

Jason Boc plated four runs and scored four times with three hits. John Joines, William Musser and Alexander Weber tallied a pair of hits respectively. Musser came around to score five times while Weber added three runs scored and three RBIs.

Ray'shon Baine drew a pair of bases-loaded walks in the sixth inning to notch two RBIs. Brock Wingate recorded two runs in the win.

Darin Matthews picked up his first win of the season in relief of Dominick Williams. Matthews scattered six walks and five hits while striking out two and allowing an unearned run in the seventh inning.

Wesley continues their weeklong homestand on Tuesday when they host the Stockton Ospreys. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
