PITMAN, N.J. – Wesley College wide receiver Ben Moore and defensive end Stefon Woodruff were named New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Rookies of the Week for their roles in Wesley's 33-0 shutout win on Saturday over the College of New Jersey.
In the first conference contest of his collegiate career, Moore rushed two times for 18 yards and his first career rushing touchdown. He also was a factor in the passing game, finishing the day by averaging 18.0 yards per reception on a pair of catches. Moore currently ranks tied for 19th in the NJAC in receptions (2.0 per game).
Woodruff registered four tackles and a forced fumble. All four of his stops were sacks, resulting in a cumulative loss of 33 total yards for the Lions. Woodruff currently ranks second in the NJAC in total sacks (4.5).
The Wolverines (1-1, 1-0 NJAC) will be in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. when they finish up their season-opening three game road trip when they head up to Wayne, N.J. to face the William Paterson Pioneers.
