LANCASTER, Pa. - Reigning Capital Athletic Conference Champion Robert Ehrhardt finished fourth of 84 golfers at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational at the 6,158 yard, Bent Creek Country Club on Monday. As a team, Wesley College finished eighth of 16 squads with Alvernia taking the team title.
A senior from Mechanicsville, Md., Ehrhardt carded a one-over, 72, in the Wolverines season opener, finishing two strokes behind Brett Fernandes of Alvernia. Wesley's 36-over (320) team score was 26 strokes behind the Crusaders, but was just five strokes out of fifth place.
Senior Clayton Bunting and sophomore Mike Robinson also turned in solid rounds on the day, shooting a 77 and 78, respectively, to finish in ties for 23rd and 27th. Also turning in cards for the Navy & White were Corey Jefferson (+22, 93) and Cole Messick (+31, 102).
Wesley is back on the links next Monday when they make the short trek for the Rehoboth Beach Invitational.
