YORK, Pa. – Quincy Pettiford and Wayne Lennon hit several key shots down the stretch and Anthony Bowers scored a career-high 20 points to lead Wesley College's men's basketball team to a 77-72 Capital Athletic Conference victory at York (Pa.) on Saturday afternoon. Winners of two-straight, the Wolverines even their record at 4-4 overall and 2-1 in the CAC while the Spartans fall to 2-6 on the year and 2-1 in league play.
Clinging to a 69-66 advantage with just over a minute left, Lennon hit a baseline jumper to extend the advantage to five points. York came right back with a layup but Pettiford answered with a jumper with 19 seconds remaining to make the score, 73-68, in favor of the Navy & White.
