SALISBURY, Md. – Wesley College's men's basketball team shot just 32.7 percent from the floor and dropped a Capital Athletic Conference matchup at Salisbury, 62-45, on Wednesday night at Maggs PAC.  The loss drops the Wolverines to 7-9 overall and 5-4 in the CAC while the Sea Gulls move to 10-6 on the year and 6-3 in league play.

JW Lawson led Wesley with a career-high 13 points while Xavier Laws added a season-high nine points with three triples off the bench.  Lawson went 4-of-6 from the floor while Laws was 3-of-4, but the rest of the Wolverines went a combined 9-of-39 (23.1%).

Three Sea Gulls scored in double figures, led by Wyatt Smith with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Much of Salisbury's offense came off of offensive rebounds as Salisbury turned 17 offensive boards into 22 second-chance points.  SU also made ten shots from deep.

The Wolverines return to action on Saturday, January 24 when they host Southern Virginia in a 3 pm tipoff.
