Men's Basketball falls at Frostburg State

FROSTBURG, Md – The Wesley College Men's Basketball team fell to the Frostburg State Bobcats, 79-67, on Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines fall to 9-10 on the season, 7-5 in the CAC, while the Bobcats advance to 9-10, 5-7 in conference.

Current ECAC Rookie of the Week, JW Lawson, had another stand-out performance for the Wolverines, putting up a career high 20 points as well as brining in seven rebounds. Wayne Lennon also put up a double-double in the match (11 points, 11 rebounds). Unfortunately, the Wolverines shot just 32.2% from the floor.

The Wolverines led 34-32 at the end of the first half but that was the last lead the Wolverines would have in the game as Frostburg would score 27 points to Wesley's nine in the first ten minutes of the second half. The Bobcats had four team members scoring in double digits, including Nick Smoot who sank 4-9 threes.

The Wolverines return to Wentworth Gymnasium for an 8 PM start against York College (PA) on Wednesday, February 4.
