Cameron Surpasses 2,000 Career Points in Win Over Neumann

Aston, Pa. - The Wesley Men's Basketball team (8-7, 2-0) traveled to Neumann (7-8, 1-1) on Saturday, Jan 11th and defeated the Knights 87-81. 

Brian Cameron led the Wolverines with 27 points, 11 rebounds and eight assistsCameron also hit a career milestone by hitting 2,000 career points. This milestone marks Cameron as the second highest scorer in the Wesley College Men's Basketball program.  

Greg Bloodsworth followed Cameron with 21 points of his own and two stealsTerrence Braxton and Michael McCants added seven rebounds each in the team win. 

Wesley took charge the first half as Terrence Braxton got the team on the board first. Neumann answered back immediately with a 3-pointer of their own. From there, Neumann took the lead but a 3-pointer by Stefanides put the Wolverines ahead. Wesley went into the half leading 44-37. 

The second half, Wesley was able to maintain control and continued to increase their lead to 86-77 with 1:34 remaining. Neumann posted 44 points to Wesley's 43 the second half but that was not enough as the Wolverines took their second conference win this season.  

The Wolverines shot 54 percent from the field, 60 percent from behind the arc and 50 percent from the free throw line.  

Next up the team will travel to Immaculata on Wednesday, Jan. 15th. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
