LANCASTER, Pa. – The Wesley College men's lacrosse team enters the 2019 season at sixth place, according to the first-ever Atlantic East Conference Men's Lacrosse Coaches' Poll.
Wesley picked up 13 points in the poll, a point ahead of seventh place Immaculata. Neumann (18 points) and Marywood (16 points) were just ahead of Wesley in the poll in fourth and fifth places respectively.
No. 8 Cabrini was picked as the unanimous favorite in the conference with 36 points and six first-place votes. Gwynedd Mercy garnered the remaining first-place vote and 27 points in the poll to finish second. Marymount collected 25 points in the poll to come in at the third spot.
Wesley, under the direction of 10th-year head coach Bill Gorrow, come into the 2019 season looking rejuvenated in their first season in the Atlantic East Conference. The Wolverines will rely on the senior leadership of Zach Farnell on the offensive side and Ben Mitzel and Joshua Short on the defensive side on the ball.
Wesley will open the 2019 slate at home when they host the Rosemont Ravens on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 4 p.m.
