First Quarter Surge not enough for Wolverines

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's lacrosse team fell 14-3 against Atlantic East Conference (AEC) opponent Neumann on Thursday.  

The Wolverines found themselves in trouble early as the Knights unleashed a quick 4-0 lead in the opening quarter. Wesley was able to dig themselves out just before the close with goals from junior Derek Hallock, sophomore Joe Delgado and junior Kyle Mackall-Lloyd to end the quarter 4-3. 

The Knights would go on to blank to Wolverines for the remainder of the game.

Senior Dylan Sicca posted 20 saves on the day, pushing his career total to 257 and moving him into eighth for career saves. 

Wesley will continue AEC play on Saturday at home as they face Marywood. Faceoff is scheduled for 1pm.
