Wesley Wolverines 0, Stevenson Mustangs 2
What: Non-conference Men's Soccer game
When: Wednesday, Oct. 2nd
Where: Dover, Del.

How it happened

Both teams remained scoreless until the 21st minute of the game when The Mustangs found the back of the net to take the lead 1-0. Back and forth play and many great opportunities for the remainder of the first half left the score at 1-0 Stevenson.

The Wolverines were able to get in five shots during the first minutes of the second half before Stevenson found their opportunity to score again, 2-0.

The Wolverines continued back and forth play but were unable to find a chance to score and fell to the Mustangs 2-0.

Comments from the Coach

"Disappointing result for us, the effort was strong on a humid night and there were times when we moved the ball well and had a great opportunity early. Stevenson took their two chances well. We are learning and know what we need to work on to improve offensively and defensively. We will put in another shift and get better tomorrow" Coach Clark

Inside story

The Wolverines now stand (5-4-1) overall and will open conference play with a home match up on Monday, October 7th against Gwynedd Mercy. Kick-off is schedule for 7 p.m.
