SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Wesley College men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Swarthmore Final Qualifier on Monday.
Wesley collected two first-place efforts. The women's 4x100-meter relay team of Briana Artis, Evelina Sloboh, Rakiya Taylor and Maysha Foster. The quartet clocked in at 47.05 seconds, the fifth-fastest time in Division III. Thomas Kalieta Jr. won the 400-meter dash with a personal record time of 47.01 seconds, second-fastest in Division III.
On the men's side, TySean Cousar placed third in the 200-meter dash. Cousar clocked in at 21.80 seconds. Christian Saulsbury finished fourth and Greg Taylor placed sixth in the 100-meter dash. Saulsbury finished in 10.96 seconds while Taylor crossed the line in 10.99 seconds. Dominic McAnulty placed fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.22 seconds. Javonte Freeman was sixth in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing in 15.14 seconds.
The 4x400-meter relay team of McAnulty, Cousar, Kalieta and John Heriot crossed the line in sixth place with a time of 3:22.77.
Myles Toppin paced the effort in men's field in the long jump with a seventh-place mark of 6.95 meters (22-9.75).
On the women's side, Taylor placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.13 seconds and seventh in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 12.54 seconds. Sloboh collected a bronze in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.41 seconds.
Briyanna Woods notched sixth place in the 400-meter dash, crossing the line in 57.99 seconds. The 4x400-meter relay team of Artis, Foster, Woods and Quadira Minus placed fourth in the relay with a time of 3:57.53.
In the field, Lekeshia Brown-Myrick had a sixth-place jump in the triple jump with a mark of 11.19 meters (36-8.5).
The Wolverines will look to lock their spots in next week's NCAA Championships at the final last chance meet of the year at Widener on Thursday,
