Salisbury, MD. - The Wesley softball team traveled down route 13 for a second day in a row opening the day against Salisbury University. The fifth ranked seagulls were able to once again squeak out another one run victory over the Wolverines with the final score of 3-2. Sophomore second baseman Carly Endres record her first hit and RBI of the season scoring senior starting pitcher Dori Loukopoulos from second base early in the game. The seagulls kept the Wolverine bats quiet with a 3-1 lead until the 7th inning when Freshman Kylie Nagle blasted her first collegiate home run dead center field. The rally continued but fell just short falling to the seagulls 3-2.
In the night cap, the Lynchburg Hornets took advantage of a few untimely errors by the Wolverines extending a lead that ended the game after the fifth inning. The score of that game was 9-1. Gab Monzo had the only RBI of the game in the first inning.
The Wolverines return to action Friday at home vs. the Keystone Giants at 3&5pm.
