Women’s basketball falls to Mary Washington

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Wesley College women's basketball team dropped a road Capital Athletic Conference bout to the Mary Washington Eagles, 74-35 on Wednesday. 

Shelby Johnson led the way for the Wolverines with 10 points and hauled in eight rebounds. Stacey O'Neale picked up seven points.

Monshea Newsome-Murray pulled down seven rebounds, dished out six assists and scored six points while stealing the ball four times.

Madison Shifflett paced the Eagles and led all scorers with 17 points

The Wolverines will be back in action Sat., Jan. 6. as they travel to St. Mary's City, Md. where they will take on the Seahawks of St. Mary's College. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
