Wolverines Breeze Past Washington Adventist in 8-1 Win

How it happened

Scoring got off to a quick start here at Drass Field when Mackenzie Forsythe found the back of the net three minutes into the game. A brilliant sequence of passes allowed Emily Caldarelli to handle the ball down the sideline on a cross, the ball met Mackenzie Forsythe who finished the play with the perfect touch into the back of the net bringing the score to 2-0.

Mackenzie Forsythe scored two more times for the Wolverines before ending the first half 4-0.

Wesley's strong first half efforts carried directly into the second half when Emily Caldarelli took it to the net 15 minutes in, 5-0.

A corner kick set up the sixth goal of the night for the Wolverines, made by Lindsay Lurz in the 65th minute of the game (assisted by Emily Caldarelli).

Mackenzie Forsythe scored the seventh goal of the night on a beautiful cross from Emily Caldarelli.

The Shock looked to Arielle Amaguana to score their first goal of the night in the 82nd minute of the game to bring the score to 7-1

Kaitlyn Roazzi responded quickly and scored the Wolverines eighth goal (unassisted). 

Through incredible offensive play the Wolverines were able to hold the Shock off and secure the 8-1 win.

Emily Caldarelli four assists on the night and now leads Wesley College Women's Soccer in assists with 22. 

Comments from the Coach  

"It was really good to get a lot of players in tonight and get them some good experience that they have not gotten thus far. For us it's just playing the way we want to play and figuring out a style to stick with. It was a good night for everyone, and we look forward to heading to Bryn Mawr this weekend".
