Women’s Track Competes at Frank Colden Invite

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Helped by a pair of record-breaking relay teams, the Wesley College women's track & field team placed 11th of 17 schools at the Frank Colden Invitational, hosted by Ursinus College, on Saturday.

The Wolverines established new school-marks in the 4x200m Relay and 4x800m Relay in times of 1:53.70 and 10:42.57, respectively.  Twila McCrea, Kerri Pagels, Taylor Lynch and Stevi Carpenter were a part of both relays.

Lynch and Carpenter also had notable individual performances as Carpenter scored in the 400m (1:03.69) while Lynch notched a 14'3.25" effort in the long jump.

Tristin Burris also set a school-record in the 5000m Run, placing sixth in 19:56.92.  She also led the squad in the Open 800m (2:42.00).

Muriel Murray recorded a personal-record in the shot put (30'10.5") while Tyesha Moaney ran the 60m and 200m Dash in times of 8.84 and 29.50, respectively.

Wesley will now have two weeks off to prepare for the Capital Athletic Conference Championships on February 17 at the George Mason University Fieldhouse.
