BALTIMORE, Md. – Tristin Burris set new school-records in the 10,000m Run and Javelin while Kerri Pagels broke another in the 800m to lead the Wesley College women's track & field team at a windy Loyola/Hopkins Invitational on Saturday.
Burris was the lone woman to run the 10,000m and she finished the 6-plus mile race in 42:16.13. Throwing the javelin for the first time in her career, the native of Laurel, Del., threw it 91' 6", breaking the old school-record by nine feet.
Pagels was competing in her first career 800m outdoor race, and she finished the two laps in 2:30.37, shattering the existing mark by 9.5 seconds.
Other highlights included the 4x100m Relay Team of Pagels, Twila McCrea, Ty'esha Moaney and Taylor Lynch, which placed eighth in 54.27. Moaney also won her heat of the 100m in 14.35 while Lynch ran a team-best 14.13 in another heat.
