SALISBURY, Md. – Senior Twila McCrea set three school-records and earned all-conference honors in two events to lead the Wesley College women's track & field team to a fourth place finish at the 2013 Capital Athletic Conference Championships this weekend. Finishing the meet with 33 points, the second-most in school-history at CAC's, the Wolverines finished ahead of Frostburg State (14).
A native of Laurel, Del., McCrea took second in the 400m Dash in a school-record 1:01.68 and also broke a school-mark with a sixth place performance in the 200m Dash (27.03). McCrea also helped the 4x100m Relay of Stevi Carpenter, Taylor Lynch and Kerri Pagels to a second place finish (53.24) and led off the 4x400m Relay to a third place finish (4:18.25), shattering the school-record by over seven seconds.
Pagels also scored in her lone individual event, placing fifth in the 800m Run (2:29.82).
Senior Tristin Burris also had an impressive CAC Championship, breaking her own school-record in the javelin (88-03') while taking fifth in the 10,000m (43:21.05).
Making her collegiate track debut, Alysha Brannon finished third in the discus (104-04').
