ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Freshmen Elizsha Streeter and Kameko Webb both won a pair of individual events and set school-records to lead the Wesley College women's track & field team at the Muhlenberg Invitational on Friday. The Wolverines finished with six event victories on the day, as well as 13 medalists and three school-records.
A first-year runner out of Hagerstown, Md., Streeter won both the 55m Dash (7.39) and 200m Dash (26.51). Her time in the 55m was a school-record and she also anchored the 4x400m Relay to a victory along with freshmen Kiona Mency, Dieunise Desir and junior Stevi Carpenter.
Webb was victorious in both the long jump (16-6.00) and triple jump (32-9.00) while breaking her own Wesley-record in the long jump. Webb also took fourth place in the 55m Dash (7.57).
Making her collegiate debut in the jumps was freshman Arnelle Akakpo who took second in the triple jump (32-7.50) and third in both the long jump (15-9.50) and high jump (4-9.00).
Kadijah Doughty captured the shot put in her collegiate debut with a toss of 36-10.25. A native of Milton, Del., Doughty was a State Champion in the event at Cape Henlopen High School.
Freshman Taylor Rae Danforth broke her own school-record in the pole vault, clearing 9-6.25 to earn the silver for the Wolverines.
In the middle distance events, Pagels received a pair of medals with a second place finish in the 800m (2:38.39) and third in the 1,000m Run (3:33.60). Finishing just 17-hundreths of a second behind Pagels in the 800m was Carpenter in third place.
Wesley returns to the track on Saturday, February 1 for the Patriot Games, hosted by George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
