Carpenter, Streeter Set Women’s Track Records at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. – Junior Stevi Carpenter and freshman Elizsha Streeter broke school-records to lead the Wesley College women's track & field team at the Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton University on Saturday afternoon.

A native of Lester, Pa., Carpenter broke former teammate Twila McCrea's school-record in the 400m by .73 with a time of 1:00.41.  Carpenter placed 27th of 45 runners in the event.

Running in her first collegiate outdoor meet, Streeter, a Hagerstown, Md., native, finished 30th of 51 runners in the 200, crossing the line in 26.37.  Her performance broke McCrea's old mark by .67.

Also having solid showings for the Wolverines were freshmen Kameko Webb in the long jump (16-05.25) and Taylor Cosby in the 100 hurdles (15.76).

Next Saturday, Wesley will travel to Baltimore for the Loyola/Hopkins Invitational.
