Relays pace Wesley at Swathmore Last Chance Meet

SWATHMORE, Pa. – The Wesley College men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Swathmore Last Chance Meet on Monday.

The quartet of Quadira Minus, Elizsha Streeter, Briana Artis and Angel Hall swept the relays at the meet. The team cruised to a win in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 47.46 seconds and then picked up a win in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:50.23.

The men's 4x400-meter relay tandem of Patrick SchlosserDominic McAnultyDaJahn Lowery and Rayshawn McRae scored a first place time in the event with a time of 3:20.40. The 4x100-meter relay of Schlosser, Lowery, Greg Taylor and Johnny Crenshaw finished second in the race, clocking in at 42.17 seconds.

Taylor Rae Danforth placed third in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.35 meters (10-11.75). Courtney Williams rounded out the Wolverine women at the meet with a 17th place finish in the 400 meters (1:02.86).

On the men's side, Lowery tallied a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter dash (10.80) while Taylor took eighth in the 100 with a time of 10.99 seconds. Dylan Kaplan turned in a ninth-place mark in the javelin with a heave of 33.20 meters (108-11).

The Wolverines will be back in action on Thursday when they compete in the Mideast Invitational at Widener University.
